Greetings from Vicar Perry Culver!

One of the greatest joys to me is teaching people about Jesus Christ and what he has done for me and for you.  Whether or not you think He has done anything for you, He has brought us a new birth into a living hope through His life and resurrection.

One may say how can the life and death of a man 2,000 years ago give me a "new birth" or a "living hope" today?  We must first realize that Jesus was more than a man, He is God.

"And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life." 1 John 5:20

Jesus brings us the "new birth" and "living hope" through His life and His word.  His word is the Bible.  There is a heaven and a hell.  When you die, you will go to hell unless you have this "new birth".  This "new birth" is not something that you earn or work for, but it is given to you by God.  No one could ever earn their way into heaven by their own works or goodness.  Scripture states:

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." Eph 2:8-10

I invite you to come to Redeemer Lutheran Church and receive this "new birth" through hearing and growing in God's Word and Baptism.  If you desire to learn more, please come sit down and talk with me.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Perry Culver
